What is this lamp made of?
The frame is metal; the five shades are opal glass. The frame comes in gold or black.
Can I dim it?

What direction does the light go?
Light radiates from the five glass globes in all directions. It works best above a nightstand, console, or dresser, or flanking a mirror or artwork.
