Microcement Pendant Lamp — raw texture, four silhouettes, gold fitting.
Microcement formed around a mould, air-dried, and demoulded — the surface left deliberately rough: pores, tool marks, faint ridges at the edges where the mould released. A gold brass E12 or E14 fitting connects the shade to a braided cord above. The result is a lamp that reads as archaeological, as though it predates the building it hangs in — raw material, warm light, complete restraint. Available in four distinct silhouettes: a wide fluted dome, a wide flat disc, a slim tall cylinder, and a compact bowl.
Microcement — rough expansion, pores, and demould marks are intentional
Microcement shades are cast in moulds and air-dried rather than fired. During drying, natural pores form throughout the surface. Where the mould releases, faint edge marks may remain. These characteristics — the grain, the pores, the slight irregularity at the rim — are deliberate expressions of the material’s nature. They are what give each shade its raw, hand-crafted presence. They are not defects.

Cast Microcement
Mould-cast and air-dried — porous, raw surface texture, each piece naturally unique.
Gold Brass Fitting
Warm gold E12 or E14 holder and canopy — the only polished element against the raw cement.
4 Silhouettes
Fluted dome / wide disc / slim cylinder / compact bowl — cluster or hang individually.
Each model is a distinct silhouette. All share the same cement grey finish and gold E12 or E14 fitting. Can be ordered individually or clustered.

Cluster A + B + C at different drop heights
Models A, B, and C installed in a cluster above a dining table — the wide disc (B) highest, the dome (A) mid-drop, the slim cylinder (C) lowest — creates a sculptural composition that works especially well in spaces with exposed ceilings or wabi-sabi interiors.

E12 or E14 (small screw) — bulb not included
Compatible with E12 or E14 LED and Edison filament candle or globe bulbs. A warm-white E12 or E14 LED at 2700–3000 K is recommended — the warm amber tone complements the raw cement grey and the gold brass fitting, producing a soft pool of light that enhances the shadow texture of the cement surface. A 4–6W E12 or E14 LED is appropriate for the compact scale of all four models. An E12 or E14 Edison filament candle or globe bulb works particularly well in Model C (slim cylinder) where the exposed bulb is partially visible at the open base.

There are pores and edge marks on my lamp shade. Is something wrong?
No — these are defining characteristics of microcement, not defects. Microcement is formed in a mould and air-dried rather than fired in a kiln. During the drying process, gases escaping from the material form natural pores throughout the surface. Where the mould releases, faint marks may remain at the rim or edges. Both of these — the porous texture and the demould marks — are inherent to the production process and contribute to the raw, artisanal quality of the shade. They cannot and should not be repaired.
Which model is best for a dining table?
Model B (Wide Disc, ∅ 25 cm) provides the broadest spread of downward light and works well as a solo pendant over a small round or 2-seat dining table. For a 4–6 seat dining table, clustering 3 pendants — such as A + B + C at different drop heights — creates a composed, sculptural installation that covers the full table length and adds visual depth. Model A (Fluted Dome) is the most versatile single pendant for a kitchen island or café-style counter.
Can I clean the cement shade?
Dust with a soft dry brush or use low-pressure compressed air. Do not use wet cloths, water, or any cleaning solution on the cement surface — microcement can absorb liquids and stain permanently. The gold brass fitting can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid all abrasive contact with the cement, which will damage the surface texture. The shade is not waterproof and should not be installed in bathrooms or kitchens where steam or water contact is likely.
Sizing & questions
Every piece is made to order in our own atelier — here is what most clients ask before choosing theirs.
What sizes do the four models come in?+
Model A (fluted dome): ∅ 6.3″ × H 7.9″. Model B (wide disc): ∅ 9.8″ × H 5.9″. Model C (slim cylinder): ∅ 2.4″ × H 12.2″. Model D (compact bowl): ∅ 5.9″ × H 6.3″. Each can hang individually or cluster with others.
Which model works best over a dining table?+
Model B (wide disc, 9.8″ diameter) works well alone, or cluster Models A, B, and C at staggered heights for a sculptural composition. The 59″ braided cord is adjustable and extendable on request to suit your table length and ceiling height.
What bulb type does this pendant use?+
E12 or E14 small-screw base. A 4–6W warm-white (2700–3000 K) E12 or E14 LED is recommended to complement the raw cement and gold fitting. Edison filament bulbs also work, especially in Model C where the bulb is partially visible.
What makes the surface texture look so distinctive?+
Each shade is mould-cast and air-dried, not fired. Natural pores form during drying; faint demould marks remain at edges. These irregular textures—grain, pores, rim marks—are deliberate expressions of the material's nature, not defects. Each piece is naturally unique.
Can I customize the cluster combination or cord length?+
Yes. Our atelier builds each fixture to order. Choose from six preset 3-head cluster combinations, or request a custom pairing of the four models. The 59″ cord is also extendable on request.
